Short History, Discography & Links
The Belgian electronic duo THE KLINIK started out in 1984, focusing its early efforts on the international home-taping circuit. Their first songs figured on compilation taped from all over the world.
But through their releases and remarkable live-gigs, which blend their haunting music with splendid and intriguing video footage, the twosome (Dirk IVENS - Voices and Marc VERHAEGHEN - Electronics) gradually build up a steady following and a reputation that stretched beyond the confinement of the "Living room" studio.
Dirk and Marc were not afraid of the experiment and this created - besides the brutal rhythms - the necessary atmosphere and inevitable tension.
In 1991, Dirk left the band to concentrate on his solo-project DIVE. This is the end of the band for the purist.
