For those who don't know NEON ELECTRONICS, first of all shame on you, but do not fear: Below you can read everything to pump up your knowledge!
After having contributed to the development of the European Electronic music-scene as one half of the EBM-pioneers THE NEON JUDGEMENT, Dirk DA DAVO decided to launch his own project NEON ELECTRONICS. All the while, he kept on fine-tuning his 'electro-groove' sound, which had become somewhat of a trademark. While negotiating with various European and American labels for the release of new material, Dirk launched his very own label and production company: DANCEDELIC D (1999).
The label was one of the very first to release an album exclusively available on the internet. In his quest to produce absolutely modern and cutting edge electronica, DDD has not shied away from collaborations with a number of young dance musicians and producers such as Dimitri DEWEVER (SWIRL PEOPLE), IMPLANT and MNEMONIC.
Everybody who witnessed a NEON ELECTRONICS gig will know how great tehy are live. To keep this memory alive, the latest release titled 'Swingers Delight' is a live/mix cd. It has a unique party vibe which makes everybody go wild. Don’t think that this new live cd is just a cheap compilation with already heard material. This new cd features 8 new tracks (e g the NEON ELECTRONICS remixes of THE NEON JUDGEMENT's cult hits 'The Fashion Party' and 'TV Treated', 3 songs of Ddini (Walter VERDIN vs Dirk DA DAVO, call it dark analog ambient low fi electronics:), and just 3 new electronics songs. But besides the new tracks, every other track is being reworked by DA DAVO. So what you will hear is different from the older existing edits.
DA DAVO is set to continue his work with Neon Electronics, proving that the older he gets, the younger he sounds!
