THE OVERLORDS came into existence in 1987, when two Copenhagen-based acts, A COLONY and RUSSIA HEAT merged into one. A threesome remained: Sergei DONG (Vocals), Ian MARIA (Keyboards and programming) abd Dick D'PRESS (Guitar). Determined to bewilder the world, they began shaping their breakfast-TV mentality into electronic beatscapes.
The keyword to determine THE OVERLORDS' particular mixture of light and shadow, of dark atmosphercs and lighthearted wit is: Awareness. Never remain indiferent! Never run for cover! Explore the multiverse in which everything (Past, present & future) takes part! Be vigilant! Be alert! Be interested! Be mind over matter! But most of all: Be funny!
