The story of PARADE GROUND starts in 1983, when 2 brothers, Pierre and Jean-Marc PAULY decide to launch themselves into music.
Their first disc, a 3 titles EP on New Dance label, is produced by Patrick CODENYS & Daniel B., both members of FRONT 242. This collaboration will go further on, Daniel B. is regularly in charge of the production of PARADE GROUND records.
In February 84, they released on MASK (FRONT 242 label), "Man In A Trance", more accessible and more personal music, freed from the cold influence of the post-punk wave. An orientation reinforced on "Moral Support / Took Advantage" with singer Flo SULLIVAN in 1985.
Follows many concerts, mainly in support-act of FRONT 242.
In 1987, they are back with 2 EP: "Dual Perspective" (with 2 producers, Daniel B. for side A and Colin NEWMAN of WIRE for side B) and "Strange World".
1988, the first album "Cut Up" was released.
