Short History, Discography & Links
Bill has certainly been around a bit--his formative Midlands teenage years spent under the bed sheets with his torch and Camus, Cocteau, Sartre and all the other Penguins; a fixation with the works of Ray Davies, Ron Nasty and Dirk McQuickly; post-teenage linguistic studies in Sheffield, Bonn and Bordeaux; a spell as a languages teacher in London; two LPs in quick succession for Third Mind Records establishing his name in Europe; several successful European tour jaunts.
Bill's songs manage to combine the deeply lyrical with the dead commercial while avoiding wordiness and worthiness. It's personal pop music that really has something to say.
